We then drove to 395 to Bishop, for lunch. We took highway 6 back towards Tonopah.
We took a side trip to Silver Peak ,
which used to mine silver, then was defunct, then started up again, and now
mines Lithium.
On the way, we passed a volcano cinder cone, but it was too
cold to stop and see if we could climb it.
We also saw a mirage across the valley of a lake that wasn't
there, or at least we think a mirage. It
wasn't on our maps, but we didn't drive that way to see for sure.
